Spencer Yim
Mr. Spencer Yim is a senior in Baylor University’s Honors College. A native of Connecticut, he is a University Scholar with majors in political science and economics and minors in Chinese and history.
Mr. Yim currently serves as community outreach coordinator within the Baylor Department of Public Safety and Police Department, where he assists with student engagement initiatives designed to strengthen relationships and increase safety awareness across the Baylor community and student body.
During his time at Baylor, Mr. Yim also served as a community leader mentor (CLM) for the Honors Residential College from 2025 to 2026, serving as a community leader (CL) for a total of three years. He was named CL of the Year for the HRC in 2025. He previously served for two years in Student Government as a student senator and as a committee chair from 2024-25 and was recognized as the Student Government Member of the Year.
In 2024, Mr. Yim co-founded the Baylor University Innovation Fellows (UIF), a competitive program that empowers student leaders to tackle campus challenges through innovative solutions. As a member of the inugural cohort, he has partnered with Baylor Dining Services on Leave No Trace, a comprehensive food waste reduction project. Mr. Yim is also a William Carey Crane Scholar through Baylor’s Institute for Faith and Learning.
Mr. Yim is an active member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Falls County.
