Roger Lowe
Mr. Roger Lowe serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Lowe’s Market, a grocery company founded by his grandfather in Littlefield, Texas, in 1964 that now has more than 150 stores in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, and Arizona. He also is chairman of the board for Affiliated Foods Inc. In 2017, Lowe’s Market was recognized by Baylor’s Texas Family Business Institute as the Texas Large Family Business of the Year.
Mr. Lowe earned a BBA in management from Baylor University in 1991 and an MBA from Texas Tech University in 1993. While at Baylor, he was a Delta Tau Delta fraternity member.
Mr. Lowe and his wife, Julie (BBA ’92), are Hankamer School of Business Pillars and Championship Club members of the Baylor Bear Foundation. They also previously were members of the President’s Leadership Council and the Give Light Campaign Steering Committee. In 2011, they established the Lowe’s Market Endowed Scholarship Fund in Business for students from a city or town where a Lowe’s Market is located. Mr. Lowe has additionally served on the Hankamer School of Business advisory board, and Mrs. Lowe also serves the Baylor community as a Baylor Ambassador and member of the Baylor Women’s Council of Lubbock.
Mr. Lowe and his wife have one daughter, Tatum Lowe Kowalski (BBA ’19), and one son, Trip (BBA ’22, MBA and MSIS ’24). They are members of Highland Baptist Church in Waco.
