Kyle Deaver

Mr. Kyle Deaver is partner with his brother John at the law firm of Deaver and Deaver in Waco, Texas. He also serves as a director of American Bank and co-owner of American Guaranty Title.

A third-generation Baylor Bear, Mr. Deaver earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1986 and a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 1993.

He has served on numerous nonprofit boards including the Waco Foundation, Prosper Waco, Cameron Park Zoological and Botanical Society, and Vanguard College Preparatory School in Waco. He was mayor of Waco from 2016 to 2020, having previously served on the Waco City Council and the Waco Plan Commission.

Mr. Deaver and his wife, Diane Elliott Deaver (BBA ’87), are members of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Waco, where Mr. Deaver currently serves on the vestry. They have two adult children: Morgan Snyder (BBA ’15), who is married to Scott Snyder, and Nick Deaver (BBA ’12), who is married to Anna-Louise Deaver (BA ’14), and five grandchildren.
