Jack F. Harper

Mr. Jack F. Harper is the Executive Vice President – Lower 48 with ConocoPhillips (COP).
From January 2021 until May 2022, Mr. Harper served as the Permian Basin President for ConocoPhillips. Prior to the merger of ConocoPhillips with Concho Resources, Mr. Harper served as president of Concho. Previous roles at Concho included chief financial officer and executive vice president. Prior to joining Concho in 2006, he served in various capacities related to finance, corporate planning and strategy, capital markets, and business development at Unocal Corporation, Pure Resources, Inc., and Tom Brown, Inc.
In addition, Mr. Harper co-founded Hedloc Investment Company and Shack Ventures, LP in 2005; these entities are both focused on energy and real estate investments.
Mr. Harper is a currently active on the board of trustees of the Abell-Hanger Foundation, the board of directors of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, El Paso Branch, and serves as treasurer and a member of the executive committee of the Permian Strategic Partnership. Additionally, he serves on the board of governors for the Bynum School, for Midland Shared Spaces, and for the Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center, all located in Midland, Texas.
Mr. Harper is married to Shelley Davis Harper, who earned a BBA from Baylor in 1992. Mr. Harper earned a BBA in finance from Baylor in 1993. They have three daughters: Ferrell (23), Caroline (22), and Oliva (19).
