Chris Hansen

Prof. Chris Hansen serves as chair of the Department of Film & Digital Media at Baylor University, teaching courses in directing and screenwriting, among others.

He earned a BA in English from Lee College as well as an MA in communication and an MFA in script and screenwriting from Regent University.

Prof. Hansen is an award-winning writer and director. His feature films have been screened at festivals throughout the United States and Canada, have been released theatrically in Los Angeles and New York, and have been reviewed in the LA Times, The Village Voice, and LA Weekly, among many others. His films include The Proper Care & Feeding of an American Messiah, Clean Freak, Endings, Where We Started, Blur Circle, and 7 Short Films About (Our) Marriage.

He and his wife, Sherry Hansen, have four daughters. They are members of Highland Baptist Church.
